If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that rumour, I'd be able to buy a brand new Busa and have money left over to buy everybody a couple of drinks and a pack of crisps.

Of course, one day there will be a new Busa... but when is anybodys guess. Regards.... Rob (Astro)

It will be a hard ask. The current busa was built to some very specific design criteria to create a very specific type of bike. The current shape is supposed to be the most aerodynamic possible... so they can't mess with it much. Take off too much weight and you lose the stability. How much more h.p. do you want from a standard off the showroom floor bike ? (although the busa isn't the h.p. king any longer anyway).

Maybe some cosmetic changes. They could make it pig-ugly like the latest gixxer. Or take the lead of the latest pink/black one and introduce fluro colours, florals and denim effects. They could call it the "Not that theres anything wrong with that" range.

Maybe they'll go for more torque ? Possibly the 'Family Tourer' effect with two pillion seats, a DVD player and some cup holders.

Like you said... speed and power are demonised by the general public... and Mr. Suzuki wants to be a good corporate citizen.

My suggestion would be to copy some of the shape characteristics of the Stealth Bomber and make it invisible to radar ! (But will that beat the new lazer technology ?)

Gotta agree with you Astro, the number of times I've seen somebody paste pics of a new variant of Busa that has never hit the shop floor is too many to count. What are they going to do to the thing anyway, todays society look on speed as bad, and if you give it race rep handling it will lose it's stability, like the current race replicas. They may do something with plastic or brakes but that would be about it.

I've have been hearing little rumours too!

Less cheese and more crust.

I love it. They'll update the shitbox when were all turning up at vintage rallies with them!

Keep up the good work though. This thread is always a crowd pleaser. And with no riding going on in Victoria we could all use a good laugh!

Keep polishing your shiny things Gdy.... we'll wake you up if something important happens.

Ahhh.... went riding today..... up the Old Pacific Hwy... the joy of riding in mid-Winter.... almost balmy really.

I've heard it's so cold up in Qld at the moment, they've been forced to pack away their singlets and thongs and upgrade to T-shirts and sandshoes. Owner of the safest knee-sliders on the planet !

No worries Dan.

This is always one of my favourite threads anyway...

There's been heaps of changes under the fairings over the years. It's only the mechanics and the tinkerers like me that notice them though...

I always thought the cheese (fuel) pump in the tank (as opposed to the earlier external ones) was a good move. Until mine f****d up!

Then there's the cam chain. and the sub frame and the extra fairing bolts and the quick release fuel fittings and the .....

umm dunno much about getting a Limited Edition Bike but here is a link to see some specs on a 2004 model Busa

I guess the main thing is that your going going to have a bike that has a different paint sceme and maybe some minor improvements.motorcycles.about.com/cs/makesandmodels1/p/04suzgsx130rzk4.htm Edited by: Rey at: 4/7/05 17:56

Do we get the Limited Editions here. I havent seen one yet. NZ gets them, the 2003 LE was black all over and was very attractively priced in NZ dollars at the time. It was something like $18500 OTR which is good in Nil Zulland.

So does anybody (except me) have an LE out there. My red grey must be LE

You had me going there.....

I was looking at a page full of Hondas thinking when I spotted it, a 2000 LE lurking in the back there. Who is the owner of it, I would like to say Hi.

Anyway, better your sister in a brothel than your best mate on a Honda. Regards
