Good to know you can survive at these speeds.
Glad he retired. You get a second chance at life, and remain in good health, then you shouldn't take the piss.

Having driven around Ireland, which is similar to IoM I just don't know how organisers can do what they do. They get second rate riders to go out year after year knowing that 1, 2 or 3 or sometimes more will die hitting stone walls or buildings etc. How they live with themselves is beyond me.

About as luck as you get I reckon.
That was Milky Quayle, who's from the IOM. I think it was 2003. He won a couple of races there from memory. It goes to show you can get bitten, even at the top of your game. Dave Jefferies was proof of that, a 9 time TT winner, but came to grief on that very 'track'. Having said all that, if you get the chance to get to the TT, do it. It really is the mecca of road racing. |
