Backfire

G'day fellow busaphiles.

My '99 bus has suddenly started making a HUGE backfire in the exhaust can, when on the over run at high RPM (9000 +).

I have checked for air leaks in the exhaust system (stock) but everthing looks OK.

Any ideas what is causing this to happen?
Maybe the PAIR system is blocked?

Change your plugs and get the map checked, mine was doing the same thing, and shooting foot long flames out the back. Even though it looked cool at night it started giving me the shits after a while so i took it in for a service and it came back good as new. He said it was running too rich in some areas of the rev range and adjusted the fuel accordingly.....

Change the plugs first yourself and see what happens, if it still does it get it serviced....
