Tyre inflation
#1
Is it me or is tyre inflation a pain at time. I found an extension piece on eBay that I have ordered to help out. Attach it to the valve then fill or deflate from the extension.

I had pirelli 90 degree valves on my ZX6R. Best thing I did! Will do the same for the Busa what I need a tyre change, and by the way I am going at the moment....it won't be long! Scary

They should be std on all bikes

Don't know why they weren't designed for bikes like that in the first place, got them put on and less air lost when fiddling about with tyre pressures at the servo.

Cause bikes originally came out with f*** all brakes lol had plenty of room to get to valves

Thought this was going to be about inflation formulas, lol, adding a 90degree fitting, do you need to balance the wheel if it's an add on??.

seeing the only way to install them is to take off your tyre (I will get them put on at next tyre replace) you should rebalance your wheel anyway.

While we're at it, swing arm states 42psi, I've always been told to go 5% more in cars due to our Australian climate. Anyone weigh in on this? What do you guys run? Also anyone think much of helium filled tyres? (Is it helium? Nitrogen? Nope that's flammable lol )

It's nitrogen, less change due to heat... Helium is highly changeable due to heat.

Pressure seems to depend on rider, first busa I gad I liked at 38 and felt twitchy at 42.. But somewhere between then and now I got used to 40+ lol

Best to go with your tyre recommendations by looking up tyre make etc on net as all tyres are designed different. I usually ride 36psi..42psi would be like riding on metal wheels.
