This is not the answer you're looking for Jeffro, but my 2010 is stock, on std settings.
I only ride solo, and there is no way that I could describe the rear as too firm... The front maybe a little soft, but the rear is well compliant, and has the preload etc backed right off. Are you sure your rear spring is standard?

i believe the rear are 13kg/mm ,
try the racetec online spring program, it gives you std rates and recommended rates for your weight and riding style

i use a 14kg/mm and a 16kg/mm on my bikes , both are longer than stock swingarms and one is very much weighted up
you should be able to calculate the spring needed , if you want to get back to single rider type feel , measure suspension movement with just you and with both , and weigh just you and both |
