There are many threads here re: fuel filters for busa's.. The 99 is a real bitch as it is internal.. The consensus seems to be rip it out and put an in-line filter in for a few bucks rather than the hundreds they want or OEM

I buy a lot of parts from them and they are pretty good. All parts OEM but much cheaper than our lovely Australian dealers Biker

I'd vouch for them as well, good dealings with them.

Same here, always been happy with Mr Cycle but for some of the rare stuff (OEM) these guys are good too though there prices reflects how some of the parts are getting hard to come by (mainly 99 specific fairing/body parts)). Easy to deal with though, delivery is fine (UK based), happy to recommend. http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/ Also, Google the part number from the microfiche and that will bring up a bunch of suppliers, if you don't have it let me know and Ill email it to you.

ermm that microfish is an internal pump. I just recently overhauled my '99 pump which is nothing like that pic or parts.
this is the correct fish http://www.mrcycles.com/oemparts/a/suz/5...-model-x-y
also be warned model 2000 Y has some different parts in the pump then '99 X model and are NOT interchangeable as I learned personally from having a spare pump for parts that turned out to be a Y model.

Yes, the X and Y's are external just under the tank and things like the Y's filters and Collar's are different so always check your part on the microfiche is for a X series, you can see the different parts on the link from Volvi above as examples. Just in case though I normally keep the new part in its bag or carefully remove it from the box and compare with the old as Mr Cycle has a return policy but you have to pay to send it back.
