Tallangatta Weekend
#1
With the good weather over this summer, Tallangatta has resounded with the roar of 2 wheel exhaust sounds.

Had the motorcycle group "Sydneyriders.com" pre-booked and spent the last 2 nights at Tallangatta. Great bunch of people, I joined them for the "loop ride" on Saturday. Tallangatta to Bright, Mt Hotham, Omeo and back over Bogong High Plains and Falls Creek. (Also a little detour for me down to Bruthen and back for a few extra corners. about600km )
One other Hayabusa on the run, and a massive range of bikes, VFRs, blackbirds, down to some Lams GS500s a "GSR mini Bking" a couple of 250s Scary and others, including a Duc Diavel Pi_thumbsup which was fairly stonking. He and I had a ball over the top Biker for a 240 rear tyre he rode it like a demon.

Also had another bike group just lob up, so the Motel was overfull, which had us breaking out mattresses on the floor for a couple of them.

Much amber fluid was spilt and tall stories exchanged.
Purely for PR reasons, I felt I needed to join in. Some times I really do enjoy my job. Coolsmiley

yeah, between Omeo and the duck I had it step out a couple of times on the dirty corners, but easy to see so no "moments". I'm not too keen on the light gravel covering on the road in places just after the turn off to Falls. I have a habit of looking down and fixating on the loose stuff there, even though the bike stayed planted.
It would have been a HUGE day if you did that from Shep. ??

I know just the dirt your talking about, thought i was very slow and pretty upright and it still slipped some,That road must catch a few out ... seeing a few scrape marks from footpegs ect in the new section now , Wonder just how long it takes an Ambo to get up there

Early start usually gets the loop done in 9-10 hrs, bit longer if we stop for a breather at Anglers and the General
We were meeting some locals in Benambra , and that went from 12 till 4 , and would have been home at 9 but decided to catch up with a mate at Chiltern fora few beers rather than risk a roo at dusk
