This post got me interested in my own fuel consumption, my Busa has always used less fuel on trips with friends that have GSX 1400's , GSXR 1000's and a BMW S1000. I use full synthetic 10/40 oil if that makes a difference, not sure. One trip we did at the same speeds, a GSX 1000 a friend had nearly ran out of fuel when I had 3/4 of a tank left which we had to siphon fuel out from. The Busa got nicknamed the mother ship after that.
Used a Navman to get an accurate estimation of kms on this run, did, 218 kms to 9.82 litres of BP 98, mostly freeway work at 100-115km/h in 6th gear, light throttle around town, so theoretically could do just over 440kms to one tank, not bad, Iam about 120kg with a suit / boots.
Mods are Pete's Pitstop flashed my ECU, R77 slipons, stock gears, and a stock aircleaner which he recommended to keep on. Thanks Pete for your advice and help.
Economy less when I ride the Putty Road. 5 - 7 litres /100,
My Landcruiser V8 petrol is a different and a rather depressing story when it comes to fuel economy, 28 litres /100 around town, 18 on the freeway.
