The reality is that if you compare the 11 year career of Stoner to the first 11 years of Rossi's. The stats don't lie, Stoner has 35 wins, Rossi up to that stage had 72. Stoners strike rate is 1 win in 5 or there abouts, Rossi's is 1 in every 2 and 1/2. Regardless of how good the bike is, you still have to be good to ride it.
Forever a Rossi fan because love him or loathe him he will go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest we have been privaleged to see. Along with Mick of course, but that goes with out saying. This is my opinion and nothing more than that!!!!!

.....nice move indeed,Casey seems to be getting "older"in his riding and that move looked like a Rossi classic, well done.

Not sure that that I've seen Rossi make a move that good..............

............Im not sure if you where watching attentively.......so I suggest you go back to the 18th August 1996 at the Czech GP and watch from that race onwards,Valentino has been doing inside/outside manoeuvres like that for a while and without taking anything from the race,he(casey) has the equivalent of Mount Everest to climb to get where Rossi is today with wins and historical achievements.

Here here... well said!! Stoner has a VERY long way to go to be even COMPARED to Rossi!!!

+ 1, its good to see an aussie win sure, but a long way to go he has, its all good to compare rossi - stoner - bayliss - mick - and all the rest but there are a lot of different factors from then to now they have gone from 2 stroke to 4 stroke the bikes are always changing, tyre choice now there on controlled tyres, traction controll and the list goes on, and so will this debate im sure. its like any other sport theres always someone younger and faster ready to take you off the top Trophy

every corner tells a story
