Rim Tape
#1
Gday gurus,

Probably a no-brainer but here goes-it.

What is the best, 'least-likely-to-stuff-it' way of applying rim tape?

Rims off? paddock stands?

Are there any favourite brands that you have used?

Ole 'passion fingers' here needs help on this. ( I f*ck everything I touch)

Thanks all.

Easiest way to not stuff it up is don't use the crap. I put mine on with the bike on stands easy enuff, but trying not to put any pressure on the tape (it's cut curved, they tell you to let the rim tape just "fall onto the rim...as long as you start it centred on the rim it'll be fine"....MY ARSE!!!!). By the time i'd finished, it looked good from a distance, but upon closer inspection looked like a dodecahedron (or whatever you call those octagon-type shapes with a shit load of sides). Needless to say, I got out the missus hairdryer and took 'em off!

My two-bobs worth anyway.
