Try stabbing your starter button. I had this problem with a chromed switch module I got from Fleabay. After hours of looking around I touched the starter and the headlight came to life. There is also a controller that takes all power from the lights and directs it to the starter motor when you hit the starter. Have a look at the circuit diagram and have a go at the number of functions that go through the starter switch. Amazing.
Might give you somewhere to start Angry.
Cheers
Max

They build them with wiring to suit various markets, so while we don't have a RH switch block that turns the headlights on and off, the wiring is there for that switch. From memory, there's wiring just looped (plug to socket) and I think it's where the RH switch block wiring plugs into the main loom just behind the steering head. It might be worth checking all that out just to see if any loops have been disturbed.
I stuck a RH switchblock on that had a headlight/taillight switch on it and the wiring all just plugs in and works.

The loom from the headlights joins up under the left hand black inner/front panel. May need a voltmeter and have a check to see if any of those connections are gone.
