I bought a new pair of gloves & this is my opinion.
AlpineStars SP2 gloves. Purchased for $70 in Brisbane.

75% Genuine Leather
13% Synthetic Leather
5% Rubber
5% Polyurethane
2% Carbon Fiber
Generally the leather is supple & soft. First impression is very comfortable. Well made & strong.
Carbon Fiber & Polyurethane protection over the main knuckles.
After some time I've found that the right hand is still perfect. Very comfortable with no soreness or rubbing anywhere.
The left hand is a little different.
When just trying / wearing the left glove, all feels perfect. But when riding, the middle knuckle of the little finger has quite a bit of uncomfortable pressure on it from a line of stitching in the glove finger socket.
this has only been from relatively short rides. I haven't yet tried it on a longer (3 to 4 hrs) ride.
Other than that, the gloves are good.

Well it's been 2yrs since I posted the above review. I now have something to add.
When these golves get we they Fucken STINK.... Absolutely putrid.
The smell impregnates the skin on my hands as well as the cuffs on my jacket.
After they dry out they are fine, but while wet.... Holy Crap Batman !!!!!
