Would you pay 7k for this?

Questions;
What exact year model is it ?
How many kms on the clock ?
Is the frame damaged in any way due to the crash protectors ?

They want $6,000 for it, not $2,300. There would be alot of people in the que at that price. They get 4k + at most sydney auctions. Leigh

Any damage to the frame whatsoever and the NSW RTA will not re-register so I'm led to believe. That is why the insurance co wrote it off ? Negotiate, just like a ruthless Chin-man or Kevin Crudd's 2 face capitalist Mrs.

Having been down the crashed bike/rebuild path before - if it is a stat write off you will NOT get it registered no matter what or who you try and get it reged with - if it is a repairable write off you MAY still have to go over the pitts and will have to get a blue slip (easy). BUT the things is as I discovered; no matter what damage you think there is to the bike there WILL be a lot more under the skin you find when you start peeling back the covers, things bent broken you can not see until you start stripping the bike. It can be a painful excersise and heartbreking and end up costing a lot more thna first planned - mind you I start putting on mods .. upopn mods and more mods - what I thought would cost me 2k to get a 4k buy up and running cost me another 7!!!! ok sure it ended up a show bike etc in mags etc but be warned crashed bikes are rarely what they seem on the outside and first looks (never again for me:) )
Egos; everyone got one

9/99 - between 66 & 67,000klm and another busa mate had a couple of crash knobs fabricated at his work, we redrilled the 6mm bolt hole to take a 10mm tapered bolt and milled a spacer to save cutting the fairing.
