The G.P. Switch, is compatible with all shift kill systems and comes with a power commander plug fitted to enable it to connect with a PC3USB. It also comes with a 230mm aluminum rod, and two 25mm threaded m6 rods, one left hand, one right hand. The aluminum rod is machined to female left hand m6 on one end. The other end is left unmachined since there are soo many variables with each bike on the market. I will cut and tap the aluminium rod for you if required. You just tell me what lengths you need. The switch is a push and pull switch so one switch fits all and you can take it with you if you change bikes. Replacement rods will also be available if you do change bikes. Introductory offer is $300 inc GST plus postage. Thats about $100 cheaper than other push only or pull only switches.
The Racing Shifter SBK and Racing Shifter SBK-4 shown on the Cordona website will be replaced with the PQ8. They tested it on 3 different bikes through out the European season and bagged the Nordic BoTT title with the help of it, their rider lowered his lap time with 1.5 seconds on a 1.02 lap after having it installed.
The PQ8 is about as high tech as a quickshifter can get:
Fully computerised, 25MHz CPU.
MotoGP Technology Built in.
Compu Shift, calculates a perfect killtime according to engine conditions, acceleration, load and rpm from a selection of 500 different killtimes. The kit comes with the G.P switch and when full production begins it is anticipated that the unit will sell for approx $700
I am fitting a PQ8 to my turbo Busa to test on the 1/4 mile and will post my evaluation.
There will be a 6 month warranty offered but to date Cordona have had less than a 1% failure from over 2000 units since the release of the G.P Switch. The switches are tested twice during manufacture and can be rebuilt if the internals are damaged. Cost of rebuild is approx one third of new.
