Have fitted the left side no probs, but having probs with the right side. Exhaust wont fit snug enough on to the manifold and the clamp is tight as it will go. Im a bit stumped by this as it bolts up to the foot peg no probs but has all this woble and exhaust leak cause it wont fit tight enough to the manifold, was there a sleave there or something as I did not remove them prior.

Hi Dirtydog,
I just checked my stock K8 mufflers and there is a sleeve on the right side muffler inside the tube and directly below the clamp. It sticks out a couple of centimetres from where the pipe tube ends. It looks like it connects the muffler to the catalytic converter.
It looks like it may be made of copper or something.
There is none on the left side pipe.

There's a gasket that's meant to be there at the header / mid-pipe joint, when I removed my stock pipes it come out of the RHS but stayed in the LHS pipe.
Some people are like Slinkies ... not really good for anything, but you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.
Thanks for your help guys looks like I need to buy amid pipe joint
