Are you wearing these whilst driving your car? That would account for why they are quiet.

hahaha bigfoot. got to say that my XR1000 is verry noisy. found a couple that have the same style and they have the same problem, even with dririder jackets and leather jackets and no jacket at all, it is still loud. i use ear plugs or ear buds for the MP3.
busa, love em

I have a Shoei & it's loud as hell. Any trip longer than 10mins I wear ear plugs.
Can't wait for it to reach it's use-by date.

best thing ive found so far for the squeeky boots is
chain lube the white waxie type sprays on wet then its sticky when it dries out & sems to stay in place & help lube.
bit messy to spray on but clean off the excess & its great
Busa's yeah i guess i like them I've owned a few
Yup threw chain lube on Tones boots and sorted that problem out but the knees still making a lot of noise. I have a Shoei which is fine. I don't have any noise problems then again I ride with moulded ear plugs and my Ipod belting out tunes.. I agree with Busgo about the jacket thing. Happens when I have my jacket open
