I was travelling south near Malmsbury on Sunday arvo when I saw a black R 1 being winched onto the back of a tow truck.
Nearby was a black SS cop Commy with blacked out windows & lights flashing & a rider watching his ride going to the pinged pound. Must have been doing 30 over or popping wheel stands
Bikes today...what tomorrow....
Never ride the A model of anything.

Sen-Constable Steve McIlroy uses military-style tactics to trap speeding riders.
YARRA RANGES police are adopting military-style tactics to trap lawless motorcycle riders on the notorious Black and Reefton spurs.
Operation Surreptitious has seen police in the Yarra Ranges traffic management unit (TMU) use covert methods including combat fatigues, hiding in bushes, high-powered laser devices and binoculars to catch rogue riders, some of whom have been clocked at speeds in excess of 180km/h.
In the five years to December 2006, there were 82 casualty crashes on the Black Spur, with 43 per cent of these involving motorcyclists and 75 per cent of motorcycle accidents not involving any other vehicle.
In a further effort to combat accidents on the Black Spur, Roads Minister Tim Pallas last Friday announced a $547,000 grant to improve motorcycle safety, including shoulder sealing, installation of guard rails and reducing speed limits.
In March, more than 20 motorcycle riders were booked for speeding and more than half of those were doing speeds 45km/h or more over the limit, which carries harsh penalties such as impoundment and loss of licence.
Sgt John Morgan, TMU officer-in-charge, said there was a big problem with a "fringe" element of riders who thought that the area was a law-free zone.
"We are hitting the hell out of the Black and Reefton spurs. We are aiming at the psyche of the riders who think that they can do anything on these roads," Sgt Morgan said.
"The operation will remain active until riders stop killing themselves and other people."
Cheers Ruffy

thats all BS! the ONLY reason why so many crash up there... is because there are f*&^ing hundreds of riders up there! god they shit me!

YES! thats right - because there are HEAPS of riders up there, 82 out of say 700 odd is nothing. of those 82 I bet only half were due to speed, the rest split up between NEW riders going harder then they should & not being able to take a corner OR the ROAD it self!
Hell the mob that "fix" reefton road caused fuggin 20 crashs due to the way they seal the road, put some tar with the melting temp of choccy & they lets see.... throw some rocks on there & she'll be right... oh and some finer stuff for in between the rocks... great one f***heads!
If they actually spent the time & money to fix the road correctly & saw that new riders sometimes need help up there & counted the actual number of riders... 82 crashs will seem f*&^ing good compared to what it could be... IF we were all doing over 180kph.
***EDIT: OK :) I am done venting - but this is the type of crap that makes it worse for us in the long run.

Don't know what these youg guys are thinking Rev?
Speeding and the like?
Just as well we've had our day! What, with our shot nerves, bad eye sight and slow reflexes......... Must be time to give it away or join the Ulysses Club. (Whoops, I am already a member!)
No wonder guys take off from the Cops though... I heard a story of a guy a few years back that took off. Trouble was he went up a road that turned into a dirt track and got pinched. Bloody funny story. His name escapes me though? Can you remember Rev?
Cheers, Phil. "Over 3000 klms this year" (And on a pushbike)
Saw the story about the Plod in cammie jammies on the PM news. Damned revenue raisers. What ever happened to the coppers having a chat?
It really gets me steamed up.
