MrsTony Wrote:Well ok I picked a date that seemed far enough out to get people organised, checked to make sure that not school holidays etc and have talked to the people at the ESK Wivenhoe Motor Inn about accommodation. You are most welcome to make you own arrangements by all means.

I talked to Leanne from the motor inn and she informed me of the following

They have a self contained house that will sleep up to 6 people with 2 double beds with a set of bunks and a sleep out. Cost $140 for the first night and $100 for the 2nd. Extra person is $10 pp/night. Maximum of 8 people

Std rooms have a Queen and a single and is $67 for one per night or $77 per couple per night or $87 for 3 people.

Deluxe Room has a queen bed only and is $77 single/night $87 couple/night

There is also a Family Room that has a Queen bed and 2 sets of bunks (Leanne advises that adults shouldn't sleep on the top bunk and Im not sure if its because of the construction of the bunk bed or the because adults tend to have too much to drink and could cause themselves an injury) at 107/night for up to 4 people. Extra person is 10 per person per night.

Ok now down to the money part
Leanne strongly advised that individuals book their own rooms as they will need to take credit card details. These details are in case you bail out 7 days prior to arrival they may charge you if the room is not relet. So theres an incentive to come down. They don't charge anything until you check out.
Bike parking. They have a guard poodle??? and there is an undercover courtyard where the bikes can be left if you want your baby undercover. They have had other bike groups stay there and haven't had any trouble.
Also they have a fully licensed restaurant which opens at 10:30 in the am. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Contact details and more info are here in the linky

Count us in for one room in the cottage. Do we need to contact the venue for the booking or are you handling the numbers?

Leanne would like everyone to contact the venue direct Greg.

Just let her know you want to book in the cottage and that others will be booking for the cottage as well.

Well Im gonna have to cancel this one as Tone has to work that weekend and I don't think much interest was shown. I will try to get one organised for Stanthorpe probably after Jindy and in April sometime when the weather is cooler.
