Hi every1,
I was on my way to pick up my uni laptop from West Ryde when I saw I think it was a old gsx k6 got pinned up by a car while trying to turn right into a street just passed north Parramatta in Victoria Rd, before I knew it he was flying in the air cross the street. I think he miss calculated his turn anyways police and ambulances came in no time and they sprayed around his bike where it was landed and so on It was rather sad and my first time witnessing such a tragic accident. My thoughts for his family and friends.
A little mistake can end a life in a second, Keep an eye on the road fellows and be careful.

Yes a bike accident and the aftermath is a terrible thing to witness ...
About two years ago there was an crash three doors up from my place. The guy worked just up the road from my house and I used to see him nearly every day on his way to work. Stopped and had a chat with him once when I was on the bike as well. He was only a young guy too and had just gotten his license. He had a FZR250 from memory and you could just tell he was just developing into a keen motorcyclist like myself.
Anyway there is a little bit of a hill between my old place and where the guy worked and if you drive down it you have to deal with a blind crest and a t-junction to your left that you can't see until you're just over the hill. If you drive at 50kph you can negotiate it pretty safely but anything over that is risky.
Unfortunately the guy came over the hill a bit too quick and couldn't avoid the car that had turned into the street.
When I got home I saw the ambulance and then the guy's bike on the road so I knew I had to check if he was alright. Unfortunately he had some pretty horrific head injuries and died a couple of days later.
I must admit that seeing the result of a bike accident did make me question my reasons for riding but I resolved to ride on, if nothing else than to honour the guy's memory.
And whenever I pass over that hill, it's always at 50kph as a mark of respect.

message relayed to Oroadsports - hopefully no one from that forum .... either way -- not a good thing to see and gives you a sense of mortality
