REAR CHAIN

I need a new chain for the busa .Ive clocked 35000ks and the rear sprocket looks ok ,can anyone suggest whats a good brand ,also how long is the chain for a stock geared bike.

Just swap it with the front chain,it doesn,t work as hard.Lol2

A gold RK530 or a DID 530 are both long life options and well worth the money.
You can expect well over 50,000 ks out of them if you keep them clean and lubed.

I got onto the MCA site, and can anyone explain the difference betweeen a X-ring and a Z-ring chain.

Shape of the rings Loafie. O ring is squeezed tight and causes a fair bit of resistance as the chain goes around the sprockets. X and Z are more like washers with raised lips and cause less drag (you get a little more hp, thats why non o-ring drag chains exist) and hold the lube in better cause they seal at the lips(double seal). Hows the front sprocket?

Doesnt look too bad, will take chain and guard off this weekend and give it a soak in kero and have a decent look..Pi_thumbsup

There's also a W shaped sealed chain which has been out for a few months. I think the X shaped is better...good seaaling ability with least friction drag
