Basic Rider Rules

1) It's always better to be on the sidelines wishing you were on the track than on the track wishing you were on the sidelines.

2) The rear wheel is just a big fan used to keep the rider cool and his butt relaxed. If in doubt...watch, when it locks up or slides out, you can actually see the rider start sweating and pucker marks left on the seat.

3) No one has ever hit something too slow.

4) Learn from the mistakes of others, you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

5) When traction is sparse, the probability of survival is inversely proportional to the angle of lean. Large angle of lean...small probability of survival and vice versa.

Perhaps one exception to point 3 - Hit the ramp too slow, and you may not make it over all the cars...

You maybe right Richard, why don't you try out your theory on the Bus' and let us know how you go.....

Here's a few more, then I'll sod off...

1) Always try to keep the number of times you park the bike equal to the number of times you've ridden off on it.

2) You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

3) Remember, gravity and centrifugal force are the law and not subject to repeal.

4) In the ongoing battle between objects made of metal, fiberglass and rubber going insane velocities and the ground going zero kph, the ground is yet to lose. Same goes for trucks animals and brick walls...draws don't count.

Enough of this crap...
p.s. Any R1 riders having difficulty getting the jist of the above, don't sweat it, there'll be an easy to read version later...BWAHAHAHA...

As I heard a professor so eloquently state what we all know. Cars are most stable when staionary and bikes are most stable when moving.

Therefore leave the cars parked and let the bikes use the roads as Newton intended.

Very good, but you guys forgot one:

When riding a ZX12R never park your bike on the sidewalk outside a post office, especially if it's a red one!
