I have been to the Island about 7 times and found that if you want a grandstand seat, my choice is Bass Strait or Lukey Hghts. The viewing for action is good around Siberia/hayshed, Lukey and the end of Gardner straight.
If you want to see the bikes closeup at speed, there is a spot under the bridge in front of the finish line where you can stand for a while and see them flash past at 300+
Have fun guys I hope the weather is kind to you, I'll be glued to the TV.

I go into Cranbourne about 1 hours before they leave, see the people and the bikes, then leave about 20 mins or so ahead of the pack. Pay on entry before chaos, when everyone else arrives. Saturday is a great day, then I usually watch the actual race on TV on the Sunday.
