#1
Guy's,

I currently have an 02 Busa and am wanting to buy a new one, but have not had anyone confirm when the new style busa is coming out.

Do any of you know when or if a new styled busa is coming out...

Troy.

little longer to get the New one out.................

But you never know thay may just drop a Bomb shell on the

new ZX14......

it aint gonna happen anytime soon Richard Suzuki doesnt need to compete against the 14 as the Busa is a sports tourer and not just a sports bike I reckon all will stay the same except for colours the Busa has the world record in their hands and it will always be the fastest production bike so why would they want to change the cheesecake when thye are selling so many of these now Cheers Bill

game off my Dicks bigger than yours. Just look at the V twin,s

that have bin put out in the last few years: VTX1800 :Vulcan

2000 : Rocket 3 ( 2.3L ).............

Food for thought..............

yeh but how long has it been since suzuki made a perfect busa not 1 single year i must admit they have been sorting out the problems but even the 06 is still breaking shit it shouldnt so why in the hell would they try something new when they havent perfected what they already have out on the market and I reckon it will be like anything new wait for a couple of years before buying 1 just so they can iron out the probs ( There is my food for thought) look at the 99-00 model with their subfram issues the CCT how many go's did they have at that the clutch issues the starter issues I think you get my drift Richard like the 14 I wonder what probs that is gonna have in the near future i guess only time will tell

It would be a waste of time for Suzuki to put a bigger motor in the busa with out changing suspension and brakes so all of a sudden the 17-18k bike is now turned into a 22-24k bike do you still think people are gonna buy them at that price like they are now Dont get me wrong i hope they do make some significant changes but it comes down to $$$$ and what they have is selling well for them but the extra costs have to be passed onto someone and that will be the comsumer Cheers Bill

Your right they did have e few isues with the bikes in the first few years as I said at the top I dont think they will bring out a new bike for a bit. But you just never know what they are planing to do. In todays world a bike never lasts more than a few years before getting a few or a full on up grade, I think that the bike has had a good run and I hope to see the current bike stay the same for a little longer. They have only just brought the 750 and 600 into line with the 1000 and when 1000 was released it was said to have got alot of it's style from the Busa, so now the whole line up can trace it's roots back to there BIG Brother Busa and I think that's a cool thing ..........just my 2cents worth
I Love the the look and dont want it to change

Regards Richard..............love that look

I tend to agree with you Bill. They dont need more power, there is enuff there std. What they do need to do is lose a bit of weight, maybe lighter wheels, better brakes, better suspension,(what kawasuki has done to sort his out)fix the cheesecake probs.
However the kwak 14 will probably have few faults, they build pretty bullet proof engines, not like suzukis gp bike.
Phuck its the Phantom.......
There's the V-4 thing - there's just something about it that inline 4s
don't have, and V-twins have too much of.Edited by: rocket rod 7777  at: 25/3/06 1:08 am

aahhh.. kawasaki's sacrafice strength and reliablity for weight.. no doubt the kwak 14 will follow in the zx10 and zx636rr foot steps.. paper thin frames that are a right off after a small low side..

I love the way the busa looks.. it has been the same for the past 8 years.. if they do change it... like what rocket rod said.. fix some of the cheesecake probs...

overall.. I as well don't see a change in the busa for a few more years yet...

Its not only kawasaki that makes things "paper thin" on their race replica bikes, anyway i always had the impression that the 14 is more of a sports tourer and is a bike to replace the old tried and true zzr range.

If you can't get a copy of AMCN, Picture the Stratosphere with a Gxr1000 fairing and a black seat and you get the idea.
If it has the 180hp and the current busas torque or more, it may be a good progression but it should retain the busa's KANJI at least.

This link takes you directly to the Japanese Tokyo Show details of the Stratosphere it is fully comprehensive and features the sound of a running 6 and the bike also has a fully automatic gearbox with a clutch override.
Sounds like it is a goer.
P.S. You will be prompted to download the japanese symbols from Microsoft but you can cancel this and it won't affect the web page.

Holy BusaSH&T, It even has a camera built into the nose to record your ride!

In the latest edition of Australian MotorCycle News. The front cover story is a sneak preview of the new BUSA that the Europeans claim will be out next year.

It is based on the Stratosphere concept bike and features an 1100cc 6 cylinder across the frame engine. It looks more like a GIXER 1000 than a busa and bears little resemblance to the current model. The power is claimed to be "a little more than the current 1300 model". It doesn't even have a KANJI on it!

If that is the case, then the current models will retain quite a bit of value as collectors bikes.

Does this confirm the rumours? The release is predicted at spring/summer 2007, which for us southern hemisphere sapiens is really July next year!
