Could this be TRUE 2003 Busa for $4000

I was browsing through Bikesales and found this bike in S.A.
Sounds impossible to believe.

Its so impossible that it could almost be a scam.
In fact. It is.

a/ Ebay often has Busas/GSXRs for sale. All for $4-5000.
Often the seller is from the US/UK and has multiple sales of various types which are NOT bike related. And then suddenly they are selling a bike for outrageously low prices that is in Australia. They usually demand you email them directly. The email is not an ISP but a free email source of some sort.
I have several fake ebay accounts which I use to bid outrageous amounts on these bikes for. They're usually cancelled before I 'win' them though.

b/ Lets look at this bike.
- Its selling, apparently, for about $4-5000. A price he could get from any bike shop in town just by walking into one.
- Picture 1 of 5 shows distinctly not-SA looking foliage in the background. Why, it almost looks Northern European/American.
- Picture 4 of 5 shows what appears to be a USA flag under the tail light.
- Picture 5 of 5 shows what seems to be a MPH speedo.
- Its been stored in a 'heated garage'. WHO in Australia has a heated garage? But its not uncommon in the Northern USA.
- He wants you to email him at xxx@dcemail.com. This a free email provided from Washington DC.

It is a scam.

It appears that you are right Paul, about it not being in Australia.
More like Southern Arizona and maybe $4000 US.
I should have looked closer at the details where it says it only has 357miles on the speedo.

Funny that it appears on Australian Bikesales.com.au

Yep, it's bullshit. There is no Sylmar in SA and the postcode starts with a 9 not 5. The pics are all over the place. I don't even think all the pics are of the same bike. Why would a heated garage be nessecary in SA, it's 4000 degrees here most of the time. 500km on an ought 3. I doubt it.

I just checked.
There is a place called Sylmar in California.
But yep, I reckon it is a scam anyway.
You don't often see scams on Bikesales.com.au

If you contacted him, he would say he exported the bike to some other country, however, due to vehicle standards in whatever country it is in, it can't be registered. The goose will probably tell you that he will freight the bike to your door, and that if you put the money in some off shore escro account, the money will not be released to him until you recieve the bike. DEFINITELY DON'T TOUCH IT, IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,
Terry
