Yeh I have a 20k ride to work at 5.30 each morning. Mostly minus 4s at the moment. -7 last Tuesday but plenty worse yet to come. Certainly sorts out the diehards from the fair weather sailors.

Is that a polite way of saying stupid? At one point I commuted from Armidale to Tamworth for 3 years on an unfaired GS1000 shafty so now 40 ks a day on the old hackbird seems easy. Thinking about putting a pair of barkbusters on it though. Couple of blokes at work get a laugh when you climb off it and a sheet of ice breaks of the riding gear.
