childrens' charity - fund raising run around oz

I have been thinking, I have led a previleged life. riding bikes , travelling , having great experiences. Hopefully still will.thinking how I can combine this with something meaningful?
So I am planning a round Australia run in the busa but also raise money for a children's charity
Share my abundance with little children who might never have the chance.
Still working out the details.what I think will work is meet other riders from various clubs/ forums invite them to network with others, ride with me how ever long they wish and get some donations etc to handover ultimately at the end of the ride to some charity/ hospital .
Any ideas support most appreciated.

Why not reinvent the wheel. I want to ride and do something meaningful.so TeX and Bundy( no offence to them )can do their bit and i will do mine one way or the other.
