completed my first IBA ride attempt

Got inspired by a members' ride report on an another forum on his IBA ride attempt.so I decided to give it a go.the plan was to ride south to Esperance and come back through the WA centre but changed the plan due to weather.
Left Newman Saturday morning at 8.46am.rode to parabadoo through karijiniNP,Nanatura roadhouse, canarvon, Geraldton.to Mount Magnet, meekathara to Newman.2469 kms in under 27 hours.as I had completed 1600km and 2000 kms in under 24 hrs I had to ride 2 laps to Capricorn roadhouse to get 2538 km to get 2500 km in under 36 hours.( the other fuel stations were 180 or 165 km away and did not want to ride 350 kms to get another 50kms).
The day temperature was great but freezing at night with huge roos.
Anyway made it back and have to send my documentation to IBA for certification.
The BUSA rocks!
Next time coast to coast with heated gear and HID lights.

Congratulations there mate, that's some serious kilometres.

After just coming back from our Darwin / Ayers Rock adventure, I can appreciate what you have done.
We did a few 1000k plus days . Leaving before sunrise and knocking over a few hundred k's before breakfast helped us .

Wardy, you may do heaps less kms, but you do most of yours leaning over at 30 degrees off the ground, scraping footpegs, knees and elbows...

Its an addiction! The day I got my first gsxr I have been hooked.legal crack cocaine. Can't get enuf.
