About 24 bikes there last night and three Busas. Don't know what John has for breakfast but his Copper/Silver ran a 9.7 on a long track. My bike, for all intents and purposes is identical and I can not get uner 10! Ran a couple of 10.0s but that's all. A ZX12 with extended swingarm and NOs also got under 10, running a 9.8.
Bad news (if you've been following the thread about lowering forks through the trees) is that yes, you can do some damage.
last night I finally got some 60' runs under 1.8, so was determined to crack a 10.
On the last run, too much wheelie, too soon and I did a Max Biaggi. By the time I returned to earth, the bike's vertical speed was such that I flattened two header pipes! Bugger. At least the sump plug looks OK and there was no trail of oil down the strip so I live to fight again Sunday.
At least I did 3 runs in the 1.7s.
The new seat (still in prototype) worked well except that one bracket temporarily glued on with araldite, snapped off. But at least it works and will be glassed by Sunday.
ZX14 ran 10.8s and I'll post a photo of an 06 GSXR1000 that has been blinged to death. Everything is polished or chromed including the fairings and other plastics. Looks pretty shmick and the next pay packets are into the engine. Sort of bike that might end up in Rapid one day.
