High beam HID H9 65W bulb?

Easiest way is just put a switch in the earth wire. Current draw is not the issue as thats why power to the light circuit is cut whilst in start mode .......... it's the on / off effect from this that kills HID globe life.
Or simply use the start procedure as Beau has listed

Nice work Pommie I am considering getting that kit for myself now though I do not think I would be brave to ride at night outside of the city. Cool mod nevertheless.
Question regarding the on-off switch - dosen't you light go off by itself when you start the motor? Mine does

Not too sure, Never checked, But it stays off now til I want it on. Didnt involve chopping any wires, so come selling time I can eaily refit originals and no one would be any the wiser.

As for night riding I'm moving onto acerage in May which involves regular riding through the stix in the dark to get to and from work. Brighter the better

I like that sequence a lot And as Peter is pointing out - way to extend the life of a HID globe or rather to stop killing it.
