I have been getting what felt like a skip in the firing sequence lately especially in hot weather.
This felt like a spark plug not firing rather than a hesitation that you get with fuel starvation.
The problem was that it was not continuous and only appeared after the bike warmed up to what could be described as hot. Like on a 1 hour ride.
After checking a few things and finding nothing wrong, I decided to remove the TRE as an elimination option.
BINGO. The missing firing sequence is now gone completely.
I suspect that my TRE has a dry solder or a loose connection that breaks contact when hot. I will do without for a while and get it fixed by an eleco.
I will post up the results.
