Cigi Lighter
#1
I think I want to take up smoking.

If I want to run a cigi lighter from my bike, is there anything special i should do or know about, or can I just connect it to the battery with a fuse and it all be happy ?

No, I dont smoke but would like to charge some accessories (i.e. my camera) while Im riding.

I'm pretty sure there is a lighter connection in the loom under all the other stuff. I am positive I have seen it. Long time ago but. Anyone confirm my possible sighting?

yep, its a female plug. Extra power connection for lights used on European-spec Busa's. I don't have any pics, but I saw it a while back. It's right above the right turn signal in the front under the right dash panel. Looks like it may be part of the turn signal harness. Definatley is for the lighting circuit. The connector looks similar to the turn signal connector. Wires are fairly small, dunno if they could handle much of a current draw.

It is part of the 12V switched system. (on and off with key)

Hope that helps.

If its up the front of the bike I think I would prefer to run it direct from the battery to under the pillion seat instead.
