Getting it out is one thing but......

Is there any mods which can be done to 07 which will de-restrict air intake....or is it already maximised with the current design?

There are 2 airbox mods you can do mate to free up the air intake. Increases induction noise, makes her a little grumblier sounding and will reduce low end. I went small airbox mod to large airbox mod and back to standard, was losing too much low end. Others will have their experiences.

Hi Max,
I assume when you had each mod it was tuned correctly to suit? And you still found that with the small mod you were losing low end? I am looking at doing it, but as it is a daily ride, I don't want to sacrifice low to mid for high rpm gains.
When you say loses low end, could you be more specific if possible.
Thanks
Ben

I actually had one of the club's mechanics (Col at ten Teths) do the original big airbox mods on my first Busa. I had him do the same mod again to my 2nd. I bought my current '06 Busa and after fitting the big air box mod, reversed it about a year later, and returned to the standard box. The increase in low end power was quite perceptible. This is my daily commuter, so riding it through the traffic each day was telling me things.

I have just reinserted Yoshi stage 1 cams. Now to sort them out - when I can ride thge bike again of course. just had a new knee inserted as well and have a fair way to go before I can get the bend I need in the new flipper! lol
