Hi Ghost,

I did really want to go on this ride, so I did, try to anyway

I've never done this run before so I checked it out on the google maps the night before. It looked good, so I set out to do a pre-run recon.

Weather said possible arvo storms, so I hit it early and got to gate around 3pm. Nice lead to the gate, but when I found out about the $11 park entry for all vehicles I declined and turned back.

For those that don't know this run, West Head Rd is a 14km run from the gate, taking you to Great Makerel Beach. There is also a circut you can do throughout the park.

I was all for it, but sorry Ghost it was the rain factor and the park entry fee that detered me.
