the truck & bus ones on the hume are safety cams, under heavy vehicle legislation they can get away with it, but the camera's don't trigger for small vehicles (anything under a 6 tonne truck)
SafetyCam Gear gets everyone but is only used for heavy vehicles. They have used footage of light vehicles from the SafetyCam recorders for prosecution in one non-traffic (murder) case, so the images and recording capabilities are there.
This is all a bit creepy though. As someone said earlier in the thread if you've done a bit of travelling there isn't anywhere that I've been in Asia, America or Europe that spend so much money uselessly chasing symptoms.
