Welcome is it your own bike or have you bought it
Best advice would be to use a import broker probaly save you money in the long run.

cost me nearly 2 grand to get a bike of the docks in Brisbane. felt so ripped of. was expecting about 750 grab snatch and take. but then there was a fee for this and for that and for every other fuckin thing. Money for jam most of it. 250 to uncrate the bike (was still in the crate when i went to pick it up). 75 to inspect it by AQUIS, 60 for a bond store guy to watch the AQUIS guy inspect it. It was still in a crate for f*** sake, what did they inspect???????
Tom still glad I did it. Best of luck with it yeah

Lyngg,
Juat a word of caution if the bike you are improting is not one that you have owned for several years. If it is an import (ie bought cheaply overseas) you need to get it certified as complying to Aust ADRs by an "authorised authority" to have it registered in Aust. Suzuki is the Authorised authority and they will not certify it as complying to Aust ADRs. I investigated this and wrote a thread with the details. Search under my name or I think I called it Importing / Rebuilding Busa. Cheers Steven

Hopefully you will be oK. Vehicles owned for a period of time (12 mths) I think are treated differently to new and the bike I was lookingat was from the US. Suzuki used driving on the RHS and there the light dips in the opposite direction as one reason why they would not certify.......
I met a guy at the RTA who was registering bike which he bought from the UK. I think he said it cost about $2k all up. Do you need an RTA inspection on top ot the RDA garage? In NSW these are app $450. Best of luck
