Power Commander map needed
#1
The new exhaust arrived today. Looks horn. Once its fitted I'll post some pics.

I'm buying a power commander tomorrow and will get dyno tuned once I get time to book the bike in.

In the meantime, I'm unable to download a map from the Power Commander sight (something to do with drives on my computer).

If anyone has already downloaded a map for a K9 with R77 full exhaust system (4 into 1) with K & N air filter are they able to send it to me. I realise this is not going to be perfect but figure its better than leaving as standard until such time as I get the dyno tune done.

Thanks

If its not too long before you get the mapping sorted then dont worry. They do run lean in places with a full system tho so dont leave it too long.
All of the USA maps are way off anyway dont bother with the maps on the PC site.
Send me your email addy and I'll reply with a map that will be fairly close. Mines for an 08 with Brock shorty and filter, all checked with my wideband.

its funny though pete everritt and simmo have acheived their highest mph at the drags with no power commander or flashing.yes i,m sure the mapping wasnt perfect but i doubt they had less hp.pc3 is off mine now and ive been flashing, rideability at part throttle is MUCH better.

I'm guessing by flashing your talking about some sort of "edit" soft wear for the stock ECU? Tell me more!!!

Sorry not true any more with changes of gearing & other stuff, but yes I know where you are coming from,
I will be reflashing the stock ECU for sure,

Simmo if you want to reflash your gen 2 let me know I have the hardware due to arrive in the next few days.

ya that is true same as i have found at the drags. The powercommander only make it smoother on the road when you have in tuned right.

A basic reflash of rpm limiters and unifying ignition maps etc off someone elses bike with the harness pinned in is fine by just swapping over the ecus but to properly map the bike, the bike to be dynoed needs the harness pinned into that bikes harness so you can map it on the dyno.my bike has MUCH better torque and smoothness under 10% throttle compared to my pc3 setup and a run down the freeway showed it was it was still a fair way off ideal airfuel. She hauls now.Very Happy
I have the boostby smith harness and im using ecueditor 2 software.it takes on my computer about 169 seconds per flash or about 189 seconds per flash in ecu editor1.realistically you really need a logging software that logs the ecu sensor data and the afr when you do run the bike through different load points and then do a heap of changes per flash or its a bit like digging a hole with a toothpick.
