Change of mind

Dear All,
As reported in Feb. I was going to sell my k8, hang up the leathers and go fishing. I even did the boat licencing exam! But seeing my bike sitting in the garage with less than 4500km since Jan 08 I decided to assess why I haven't ridden it as much as I should. I came up with an answer that suits me- it's too bloody quiet! So I'm keeping the bike putting new michelin sports tyres on and wait for it.... racefit growlers.
They do come with an available baffle at an extra $100 each so by the time I get the mufflers I will have spent around $3000 for noise power and with a service and sticky tyres an extra $1000. Ah! retirement's good, plenty of time and a great place to ride around in the southeast corner of NSW. So you'll hear me before you see me. Cheers

Good decision.
You will find plenty of riding mates and roads to enjoy.
(They may make you ride at the back with all that noise though).lol.

Man, you will love the growlers - I have a set of those on my 08 and love them. I have to admit that I ride mostly with the baffles in and the sound is fine. I take the baffles out occasionally but as my usual day starts at 4am I don't really like waking up the wife and kids!

You will also be amazed at how light they weigh - amazing!!

Are you getting them through AuStreetfighter?

That's quite a change of dirction but then again recreational boating/fishing isn't cheap either. As long as you're happy with your decision, that's the main thing.
