World is falling apart.......

Hi Guys,

I am having a bit of tough times here with my Busa.
Total K's 80000/- K's since last 4 month 1000K's

Got following done/replaced so far in last 4 months.
1) Front and back Rotors, bearings and Pads.
2) Clutch Plates
3) Starter Clutch
4) Battery
5) Rear Tyre
6) Full Service with valve job and Fuel lines and filter cleaning and replacement, new plugs etc.
7) Two Oil Changes with Miltec....(strick 4 months or any K's policy)

Till last Monday it was running like a dream and then suddenly it started to misfire - like its running with bad plugs. Since it was recently serviced so I called the Mechanic and droped the bike at his shop after hours of fault finding he identified that the bunch of electric cables coming out of the stator cover and pluging into the standard joint had problems - it seems that the connection had melted. so he got it fixed and I just got the bike.

He thinks all is fixed and well. upon riding I feel different. First I feel that there has been atleast 10% power drop!!!!!, secondly when I do a hard launch between 3000 to 9000 RPM there are 2 spots where the bike misses a beat and then picks up and runs, so power delivery is not seemless. I trust my Mechanic and know that he will always do a great job but at this point the bike is running below expectation.

Is there some thing which I can look and work with or it has to go to the shop again.....just getting fedup with non-working bike...

Any suggestions... help is much appriciated..

PS..Missus is kicking my ass for spending money on this as she wanted me to get a new bike.....

Yeah, I'm thinking something is wrong with the fuel pump overhaul.
Maybe a leaking seal or vacuum hose to the fuel regulator.

Hi Busgo,

I think the issue is electric as the portion of wiring coming out of Stator cover was melted and got fixed and today I notice that there is a slight firing disorder - I need some one local who can test ride my bike to confirm....any help.

Cheers,

Bill

A minor thing to remember is that the bike tip over sensor is wired into the fuel pump relay and has caused issues for some people before where the sensor has been faulty.
There are lots of possibles though with this little missfire problem.
