What's the go with E-tags in Melbourne for bikes these days.

I thought they used to not be need as the photo was only taken from the front. - you know what ASSUME stands for!!

Anyway, do'in a little trip with some mates through Mt Gambier, Ocean Road and Melb. for New yearBiker, can't wait,

and just wondering whether I need to add my bikes plate to my
e-tag account.

err you could always ring the RTA or whatever the road authority is in VIC, for the cost of a landline call you get teh correct answer instead of 10 possible answers and you can actually make you your own mind (assuming .............

You don't need an E tag for Citylink - which is the Bolte Bridge, Tullamarine freeway and the Tunnels under the city. If you use the new Eastlink (new tollway from Ringwood to Frankston) you will need to register your Etag with them or buy a day pass etc... So I guess it depends on where you're riding. Enjoy your ride, hopefully the rain has stopped by then.

all roads except the new eastlink are toll free for bikes
