Chroming the frame and swingarm legal??

Anybody know the rules on chroming the frame and swingarm?? Is it legal??I know polishing is ok..

chrome plating of any structural or chassis parts off a vechle or motorcyle is eligal in australia as to during the plating process hydrogen forms in the cells of the metal which ends up giving you the problem they call hydrogen enbritlment which weakens and stresses the metal which causes it to fateage (why dont we have bloody spell check on this forum 8-) ) and crack you can remove the hydrogen enbrittlement by baking the finished product but most plating shops i know wouldn't the knowledge and experiance to do so,you would get the comment don't worry mate she'll be right.The chances of the frame cracking would be low anyway so just do it and if you ever get pulled over for it bullshit really good and say its only polished you should get away with it as long as you never have to take it over the pits cause then throw it the bin and look for a new frame cause they will list that one as i write off.i have had many chrome bike frames without any problems bothe aluminium sport bike and steel chopper so weigh it up its upto you
