Whatever you do, go for 100% antifreeze. The motor is 100% aluminium therefore will corrode slowly and calcify with any water in the system. Also this improves the performance of the sysem in very hot or very cold weather.

I prefer 25% coolant. Pure water has more thermal capacity then when anti freeze etc is added.

What is the reasoning going to 100% antifreeze ?

Careful on the 100% factor ? Glycol has a great ability at seeping thru head gaskets (in undiluted form) .............also if it should leak and find it's way into the lubrication system then it combines with the oil and turns to a gell. This then has to be removed with a chemical treatment to break it up,so as to clear all the oil galleries. Stick some glycol and some oil in a container and leave it overnight ..................the result you see shall certianly put this idea right out of your head.
Don't ask me how I know ............it appeared to be a great idea at the time

So any particular brand of coolant on the market any of you guys use that you would recomend? Says in the book to use 50 coolant and 50 distilled water. Is distilled water necessary?

You can buy both at any Department store. Big W, Kmart ETC.
Both items are cheap so why not follow the factory recommendations?
They employ engineers with a lot more knowledge than us to design these things.
