ANZAC DAY - BUSGO - 25-04-2008 LEST WE FORGET(clicky) "They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn." RE: ANZAC DAY - MrsTony - 25-04-2008 Well went to dawn service and was heartened to see lots of people and especially little ones attended. RE: ANZAC DAY - Heidi1 - 25-04-2008 I went to the dawn service here in Gladstone, and there were heaps of teenagers there! All dressed appropriately, all behaving beautifully (man I'm getting old when I say shit like that). That was great to see. The thing that made me laugh, was when they did the big parade, they put the little old red cross ladies behind the young cadets. The cadets went striding confidently down the road, trailed at a long distance by a bunch of tiny little old ladies on sticks and walking frames going crook at them the whole way. If those little old ladies caught them, there was going to be TROUBLE! RE: ANZAC DAY - Mutha - 25-04-2008 I wanted to go to the dawn service, but I just couldn't drag my self out of bed this morning. I remember going to the service many times when I was a a very young kid and watching my great grandfather march. Lest we forget RE: ANZAC DAY - kitmark - 25-04-2008 Thank F#$k its only one day of the year otherwise I'd die of beer poisoning.... |
