Racefit growlers fitted - dirtydog - 29-03-2008 RE: Racefit growlers fitted - MarkOz - 29-03-2008 They do look neat.... Great from the rear ......Much better than stock sys look. RE: Racefit growlers fitted - dirtydog - 30-03-2008 Couldent beleive how heavy those OEM's were. So far seems more grunty , no major poping backfiring and runs great ,just needs to be tuned, K8 ECU works well. RE: Racefit growlers fitted - dirtydog - 30-03-2008 Definatley Bafffles in from here on, its a good loud with and with out , But after a while with out the baffels its painfull, Never seen cars move out of the overtaking lane so fast ,it has a real Roaring nascar sound to it has to be heard to be beleived :) . With baffels its sweet and can ride all day no problems. copperjosh was right about super loud pipes, so Just ocassionly might take the baffels out, :P RE: Racefit growlers fitted - REVIT13 - 30-03-2008 those mufflers are meant to be very light with a price to boot. when are u off to the dyno? would making interesting read. standard headers still? will keep an eye out for the sound clips. good to see another system out there. RE: Racefit growlers fitted - copperjosh - 31-03-2008 yes, they definately sound tough, I kind of miss my M4 pipes a bit but definately without the baffles I needed ear plugs to enjoy. its fun drawing masses of attention, but hurts the ears a bit lol! They look really good on the busa though! and the weight loss is always a plus. RE: Racefit growlers fitted - dirtydog - 31-03-2008 Will be getting dyno next service, and I will post it up, also will be making some sound clips with and with out baffles with fly bye's. It has retained the standard headers and yes they are expensive being 2k which were on special with the aus distributor. I'm not much of a single slip on fan with the busa and with the yoshi r-77 being the same price is what made me decide to buy the Racfits. They are incredibly light 800 grams each being made from Grade 1 titanium and are hand as the workmanship is second to none. As for attention the first day I had them I dident bother with the baffels and was a lot of fun but after 30 minutes of just cruising the loud drone was painful, but when hooning and reving it was awesome , cars would move out of the overtaking lane well in advance it was amazing :) some people would stare in disgust while others would try and persue you to see what sort of bike it was ETC. Any police you would have to pull in the clutch and hope for the best. But baffles in now I can relax ride as before and still enjoy the sound with out pissing my neighbors off :) But Copperjosh for sure you were on the money with loud pipes , but some people convinced me with the removable baffles supplied by Racefit it would be fine for everyday use so you really get the best of both worlds :) RE: Racefit growlers fitted - REVIT13 - 01-04-2008 nothin like some good old noise:) lots of mufflers now coming with removable baffles which means someone has been listening to the sportsbike riders who want the option. |
