Electronic steering damper.... - NEMESIS - 13-03-2008 I hear good things about the k7 gsxr1000 electronic steering damper... Can it be fitted to a hayabusa, that is my question... Anyone know if its a stand alone unit or does it run of the main ecu? RE: Electronic steering damper.... - BUSGO - 13-03-2008 If all is OK with the running gear, the busa is stable up to and over 300kph with the stock damper. The K8 damper is stronger and better though. RE: Electronic steering damper.... - kawasuki - 13-03-2008 NEMESIS Wrote:I hear good things about the k7 gsxr1000 electronic steering damper... Suppose u would want power steering also ?? ![]() RE: Electronic steering damper.... - Legend - 13-03-2008 BUSGO Wrote:If all is OK with the running gear, the busa is stable up to and over 300kph with the stock damper. Too right Ray, even without a damper to over 300kph, I suppose it depends on road... opps track conditions. Leonard. ![]() RE: Electronic steering damper.... - NEMESIS - 14-03-2008 Power steering? Shut your mouth you beautiful old man. Stock dampers are shit for what i put the bike through. I know changing the oil in them is meant to make a difference. I suppose i could always go with an aftermarket unit but i like the idea of not having to manually fiddle with the damper all the time. They are a "band aid" approach to fix chassis problems on some bikes. They are just like a shock absorber used to slow down steering inputs on race bikes, which normally have very steep fork angles to speed up handling. In fac, in street use, a damper can slow down steering inputs too much.
