Brisbane - The Cat - 17-02-2008 Gday anyone know of a decent motel in Brisbane that wont bust the budget? Im travelling to Brisbane in May with the family (yes Mrs and kid) (not on my Busa!!) and need a motel that doesnt charge like a wounded bull. Last trip it was hard to find a middle of the range place. It seemed to be cheap and not worth it or 5 star and out of reach! The Cat RE: Brisbane - Gazamataz - 17-02-2008 Mate, get onto http://www.checkin.com.au/, select Brisbane Hotels and take a look. Everything from 5 star. to budget to serviced apartments. It's not always obvious, but Brisbane is a Capital City so you should expect prices to reflect that. If you are prepared to be out of the City centre, the prices drop significantly. RE: Brisbane - The Cat - 17-02-2008 :aussie Thanks mate will check it out. RE: Brisbane - Missy_Moo - 22-03-2009 Hillcrest near the south bank is very local and handy, not sure of $$ as work pays, but hey ask away and see who they look after. I have always found this motel/hotel bible to be very helpful indeed no matter where you might think of staying. Also, if you are flying in, there are often some deals going at Flight Centre which are very good value too...ie fare + 3 nights etc at a discounted rate. Generally, if you just roll up without a "discounted" or "Corporate" rate, you can expect to be charged by the wounded bull. |
