First Suzuki - A^K^T - 12-02-2008

Hi All , I bought my first Suzuki last week , a 2007 Hayabusa and it's starting to grow on me . So far it's only got 180 odd km on it so i haven't really leaned on the throttle but i would say it's a little quicker than the 99 Fireblade i have Very Happy .

Arron

G'day Arron,
Once you are run in, you will find that it is a whole lot quicker than your blade.
Maybe not through the twisties but you can cruise at missile speed now.
Cheers and welcome.

Welcome Arron, the zippy bikes will kill you through traffic, but find a straight section and holy mother of god hang on!

Sitting? Or hanging? Do you keep them like that so the tyres have a break?

RE: First Suzuki - andcad - 13-03-2008

It's on a race stand and i can only ride one at a time and the Bussa has been the one that gets picked Very Happy

She'll continue to grow on ya, several have gone away only to later come back to the busa.

RE: First Suzuki - Catchy - 21-03-2008

G'day Arron,
I cant wait till my busa arrives - I have just sold my 954 blade and used the money to hold the k8 when it arrives. The blades are a lovely bike - very agile but after test riding the new busa a couple of months back (wife is still rattled from the ride) the bike bought me. Good on you - the bus will keep impressing

RE: First Suzuki - horndog - 21-03-2008

Welcome

Gday Aaron, Dont give up on the 1/4 mile, They are the best bike for the drags and it wont be long before you will be knocking out low tens or even nines.

Just ask around at the strip with the other riders and they will happily part with the good tips on how to get quicker.Be careful though it is very addictive!

I am from down Rockingham, planning a ride down South way on the 13th of April if you are interested

RE: First Suzuki - A^K^T - 14-08-2008

Well i have done a little over 3000 km on the Bussa now and i must say that Iv'e grown quite fond of it , not just for it's ability blur the scenery but for how easy it is to live with . it's comfortable , good on fuel and doesn't mind commuter duties .
It's not perfect and for some reason mine has been a little reluctant to start from cold on the odd occasion and has given then odd backfire (when starting)
It's also had the screen vibrate at a particular engine rpm (fixed now)
It's also got a bit somewhere else that vibrates at a particular rpm , but i am 90% sure that's due to be taking the faring off and not tightening something properly .

But there all very minor and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend that anyone who's thinking about getting a Bussa to just buy one .

Sorry i missed the ride , i had been working a few Saturdays (still am).
I have been a little reluctant to go on rides since the one i went on where there was a madman on a ZX12 , he could ride that's for sure but if there had been a cop around there would have been a few people walking home.

A mate of mine goes out for a ride on the odd Saturday or Sunday , usually out to Yourk or that general direction , he has a K8 and his Mr's has a 2006 fireblade , will send you a pm if it's ok with them .
