CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - TheShredder - 11-02-2008 A few of the boys & i are going to be in your neck of the woods on Monday the 3rd of march & we hope to be able to do a run along the GOR that day before we get the boat over to Tassie that night Anyone going to be available & want to join us? shane RE: calling Melbourne area guys - RaZ - 11-02-2008 I am currently hunting another contract atm - so I might be able to join you guys :) RE: calling Melbourne area guys - Louwai - 11-02-2008 The day before would have been fine for me, but on Monday 3rd my oldies are arriving from Brisbane, so I'm loaded for the day. RE: calling Melbourne area guys - arthur dunga - 11-02-2008 let's know your plans, i'd say i could work it. RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - TheShredder - 13-02-2008 Hey guys how long will it take to get across from Phillip isl to the start of the GOR ? Also how far along the GOR can we get & back again in the day? shane RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - Volvi - 13-02-2008 Phillip Isl. to GOR aprox 1hr 50 min. (am guessing) You can also take the ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliffe which should shorten the time considerably depending on ferry times. GOR to Lorne - Wye River - Apollo Bay is about the max if you take in above from Phillip Isl. RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - TheShredder - 13-02-2008 What about the The 12 Apostles we will make it to them? shane RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - Volvi - 13-02-2008 if you exclude PI from the agenda otherwise a very early start from PI or first ferry across, but from city to apostles back to port melb. is quite possible, but expect a full on day. RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - RaZ - 13-02-2008 very full day esp from PI.... still since its a Monday - shouldn't have too many cagers down GOR... just some pigs RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - Louwai - 13-02-2008 PI to Rowville is about 1hr or so From Rowville (east Melb) to Geelong takes me 1hr 45min in the car on a sunday. Geelong to the START of the GOR is about 30mins All times are in the car. A few mths ago I left Rowville at 8am, drove to GOR & along to Apollo Bay. Stopped for a BBQ for about 1hr. On the way back we turned north at Skenes Creek & headed to the Princes Hwy & then all the way back home. Got home at 9pm RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - Mutha - 13-02-2008 Queensland to Phillip Island to GOR to Tassie, back to Queensland. RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - Gassick - 13-02-2008 I start my holidays that monday so I am keen to know your plans. If you want to see the 12 Apostles, suggest you ride to Warnambool and get on the GOR from there. That way you will ride the whole lenght of the GOR and check out everything on the way. Like I said let me know your plans cos I wouldn't mind doing that ride again. How long you guys in tassie cos me and The Woman are heading over for 10 days of cruisen on "Big Love" on the 9th. RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - TheShredder - 13-02-2008 Thanks for the heads up guys Gassick will be in tassie 4th to the 10th I will update our plans & a ph no before i head down shane RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - ROD - 13-02-2008 Make sure he rides to view all 12 of them RE: CALLING MELBOURNE AREA GUYS - NEMESIS - 14-02-2008 I wouldve tried but my bikes still in the works fellas, want me as pillion ? |
