The same thing (as the R1) happened to someone on the central coast a few years back. I remember seeing the article in the local paper when i was visiting someone... Not quite as far up the seat...but same result...bike wedges upright under the 4x4 and the rider walked away....

I've heard stories about some of those slow R1s, looks like this one was that slow a 4wheel drive caught him and tried to eat him for lunch!Pi_freak

That poor old GSXR is rooted isn't it. Hope the rider gets up okay

Was an "interesting and Spirited" ride.
Great company, good weather, nice roads, Beachmont and Advance Town.

"Maloo" on the Yam walked away from it.

Andrew on the GSXR7 has serious head injuries, and wasn't wearing gloves. Not 100% but not sure bike was insured.

RE: Lucky Brissy R1guy & unlucky GSXR750 guy - BUSGO - 11-02-2008

From the damage on the GSX, I'd say he went straight into the ARMCO rail or someother immovable object.
Bad scenes.

RE: Lucky Brissy R1guy & unlucky GSXR750 guy - BUSGO - 11-02-2008

I hope the guys are both ok out of this.

Maybe if they had their front number plates fitted, this sort of thing may not have happened to them.
(sick joke).
