Just wondering if you guys had many zx14s at the lights trying to race you" specially the 08 model. Last night I was riding my k8 at great western highway about 10:30 while waiting at the light I see this guy in new 08 zx14 revin next to me! with full exhaust system, I start getting this rush thinking about "double demerit" cops every where lol , then I thought the hell with it we both gunned it hard, bloody thing kept up with me all the way up to 180 with few meters ahead. Wasnt happy at all lol Im getting a full system soon till next time I race this bastard

Yep, they gave it an overhaul to bring it in line with the BUSA.
Only real difference now is the comfort of the Kwaka vs the Handling of the BUSA.
The busa pips it over the quarter by about 0.02 average they reckon.
Plus of course the Kwaka looks like a turd on wheels and the busa is sweet as!

Raced till 180?
Still had heaps to go to determine a winner haha...
I cross the line at the quarter at 220km an mines
an 07= slower.
PFF,double demerits...
At those speeds it dont ever matter anymore!
Just keep going lol

Mate speed limit was 80 i was over the speed limit by 100 lol plus having a full system on a bike make a big difference in top end but im getting my full yoshi soon and hopefully ll meet him again for a rematch

Edris,
Get out to the drags and get a handle on your launches, once you put 3 bike lenghts on him before you cross the intersection he'll just give up.
PS. I wouldn't read too much into a one off meeting!

if you get a full system you should take him. the 08 busa seems to respond amazingly to full exhaust, seen huge gains. Do full system, power commander, V power racing 100 RON fuel, Good 10w40 synthetic oil & i'd say you'll be flying.
The busa is a little bit stronger, so its a question of who's wallet is the fattest :-)

It boils down to rider ability, even if the guy in front backs off at a legal 80km/h, the guy in front has already dealt out the humiliation. So in a street traffic light race, even a turbo won't help you if you cannot get it off the line smartly. Lucky the guy on the 14 wasn't Leonard, or the gap would have been more than a few metres! Give the wallet a rest, practice is the best thing. Try this; launch as hard as you dare and at the same time count "one thousand two thousand" look down at the speedo and it should be passing throught 80km/h. 2 sec to get to 80km/h is good, if you are slower than 80 km/h at 2 sec, then choose your opponents carefully or be prepared to get spanked by a better rider.
