If that was a race, the 'busa rider either wasn't aware of it or wasn't proficient. There were two long straights where the busa should have overtaken and disappeared off into the distance - but it didn't happen.

p.s. - This is not a knock of the TLR.... Ruffy would beat me to death if it were!

RE: hayabusa vs tl1000 - 2CUTE4U - 08-01-2008

After owning both, there is no way a TLR would beat a busa unless the rider of the busa sucked.

RE: hayabusa vs tl1000 - Gnarbunkle99 - 08-01-2008

Looked like a bit of lane splitting on a public road to me.

RE: hayabusa vs tl1000 - Speed Demon - 08-01-2008

Busa was in front from the start probably fell off at the corner where he started to lean over and the tl went past
Definetly rider error

RE: hayabusa vs tl1000 - Volvi - 08-01-2008

Was on the Nepean Hgwy Brighton a while back where at the lights a whole group of TLR's were waiting to fang it, naturally I joined them in the foray. I took off like a bat outa hell, giving it all shes got, I look in the mirrors after about a hundred or two metres, frakkkk where the hell are they? I left them for DEAD. I have no doubts tho in the twisties they would eat me but in a drag, I reckon they musta said to themselves, fark I had no idea they cud go like that! but then its a '99er.

Dont worry mate we ahve a TLR (when finnished ) that would kick the Busa and the 1098R arse's all round the road , track anywere.
It will be approx 150kgs Wet,around 175 rwhp and approx 110ftlbs.

RE: hayabusa vs tl1000 - Doc - 08-01-2008

what crap
it wasnt a race ( except for the TL )
he had a camera and wanted to make a name for himself , the busa blew him off the lights and then started to split .
By the looks of the riders body langue it was 1st to the cars to split , then the busa has rolled off after the cars and the TL has kept going .

There is someone here on this forum that i handed there arse to them on a platter a few years back when i was on a suzuki across and they were on a busa splitting down hoddle st .

it wasnt a test of the bikes , just a test of the risders skill and experiance.
